WMGK Doggie Photo Booth for Charity

Philly’s Classic Rock radio station MGK asked us to create a new experience for their guests at their annual John DeBella Dog Walk. We welcomed the open invitation with big smiles and wanted to make the most of it, so we thought of helping to raise some much-needed donations to our local homeless animals while we’re at it. Who doesn’t love the thought of adorable pups in a photo booth… and we’re helping to save lives? We’re totally in!

Nearly 5,000 people came out to brave the off-and-on rain showers to learn about the great work of our local canine rescue and shelter organizations. They also had the chance to interact with the vendors, hung out with the MGK crew (these guys truly rock!), watch and take part in interactive dog demos, and to enjoy gourmet food.

BoothWise was honored to be radio station-invited to capture the magic of all the visitors with their four-legged friends. We will be naming this annual event: “BoothWise Paws 4 the Cause” photo booth charity.

With our doggie-friendly photo studio ready to go, we snapped photos of all our guests with their furry best friends. Kali, the beautiful golden retriever shown here, was the winner of our “Philly’s Most-Popular Pooch” contest. With over 45,000 Facebook views on her image alone, she got a lot of attention to win the grand prizes… some of which was some pretty tasty doggie treats, swag, and a pair of tickets to the 2017 WMGK Big Gig concert. Who doesn’t wanna see Boston and Joan Jett?

With our second annual invitation to help volunteer, and after the overwhelming reaction from the previous year, Philly’s Classic Rock station (102.9 MGK), personally reserved the entire pavilion to set up our photo studio right next to their radio station tent. We photographed families with their furry friends, and they received instant printouts in seconds.

All of our BoothWise employees and local volunteers donated their time to help run the production and 100% of proceeds raised were donated to our local animal shelter Hemlock Edge Rescue. Much appreciation goes out to everyone who helped make the second year an even bigger success, we couldn’t have done this without all of your support. And of course, all of the wonderful families we had the pleasure of meeting and their donations. Hope to see you in 2018!

See all of the adorable photos here on our Facebook album, or check out the Event Photos where you can purchase prints and all funds will be additionally donated.
